SINOPSIS

¿Poséen las favelas cariocas una estética arquitectónica propia?,  ¿Cuáles son las amenazas que se ciernen sobre las favelas tras su pacificación? Este film-ensayo, a medio camino entre el cine documental y la ficción, se estructura como un diario de viaje narrado en primera persona por un emigrante europeo que se instala en una de las muchas favelas de Río de Janeiro. Este diario nos muestra las inquietudes, los arrebatos, las alegrías, los miedos y las dudas del narrador donde las favelas se convierten en objeto de investigación etnográfica, artística política y urbanística.

SYNOPSIS

Do Rio's favelas have their own architectural aesthetics? What are the threats that loom over the favelas after their pacification? This film-essay, halfway between documentary cinema and fiction, is structured like a travel diary narrated in the first person by a European immigrant who settles in one of the many favelas of Rio de Janeiro. This diary shows us the concerns, outbursts, joys, fears and doubts of the narrator where the favelas become objects of ethnographic, artistic, political and urban research.
