SINOPSIS:


HYBRIS es un ensayo fílmico que combina diario personal, road movie tropical y documental de denuncia social. A través de un viaje por Brasil, Colombia y la vieja y decadente Europa, el protagonista explora las tensiones entre lo íntimo y lo colectivo, lo estético y lo político. Desde las favelas de Río de Janeiro hasta las montañas de la Sierra Nevada, el proyecto cuestiona la gentrificación, el turismo de la miseria y la identidad en un mundo globalizado. Con un estilo híbrido que mezcla poesía visual, reflexión filosófica y crítica social, HYBRIS es un viaje alucinado entre el documental y el sueño en el que su protagonista sale en busca de su lugar en mundo. Lo que comienza como un viaje en busca de sí mismo y de su ópera prima, este viaje iniciático se convierte en una odisea laberíntica a través de favelas que palpitan como máquinas de guerra, montañas Sagradas que albergan rituales ancestrales y ciudades devoradas por el capitalismo.

HYBRIS is a film essay that combines a personal diary, a tropical road movie, and a documentary of social criticism. Through a journey through Brazil, Colombia, and the old and decadent Europe, the protagonist explores the tensions between the intimate and the collective, the aesthetic and the political. From the favelas of Rio de Janeiro to the mountains of the Sierra Nevada, the project questions gentrification, poverty tourism, and identity in a globalized world. With a hybrid style that blends visual poetry, philosophical reflection, and social critique, HYBRIS is a hallucinatory journey between documentary and dream in which its protagonist sets out in search of his place in the world. What begins as a journey in search of himself and his debut film as filmmaker, this initiatory journey becomes a labyrinthine odyssey through favelas that pulsate like war machines, sacred mountains that house ancestral rituals, and cities devoured by capitalism.
